General Rules

• All entries must be tagged and the tags properly filled out as per the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department 2010-2011 Regulations.
• All entries scored must be brought in by the rightful owners with the cape intact (unless noted otherwise).  Any attempts to alter or enhance the horns in any form will be grounds for disqualification without refund.
• You must enter your buck in the contest within 2 weeks of the date of your kill, unless prior arrangements have been made.
• In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by a random drawing (subject to all Divisions).
• All contestants are subject to a polygraph test at the sole discretion of the Contest Officials.
• Only General Season kills are eligible. No early management lands deer permits (MLD's) accepted.
• A buck taken with a bow during archery season can only be entered in the archery division.  During gun season your buck can be entered in either division.  (The same will apply with a Cross Bow)
• Cross bows will be categorized in the Archery Division only.
• Youth weekend deer are eligible.  Contestants must be entered prior to youth weekend.
• Only one kill per entry - A Buck scored is a buck entered. A hunter may enter more than one division. (only 1 score per division)
• Scoring is based on Gross Boone & Crockett Scoring System with a 10 point tolerance allowance. (Anything over 10 points will be deducted).

Scoring

Scoring your buck will take place each Sunday starting November 7, 2010 from 6:00 pm till 8:00pm at the Buccaneer Food Store on Hwy 290, Blinn College exit, Brenham Texas .  Other arrangements to be made during the week by calling 979-830-1619 for an appointment time.  Ask for Nathan Winkelmann.  Last scoring date is one (1) week after division season closes.  No scoring on Christmas & New Year weekends.

Entry Information

Entry Fees:  $ 25.00 per entrant.  This includes one (1) hunter and one (1) kill per one Division and a reservation at the Awards Presentation Banquet sirloin and catfish meal.

Entry Deadline:  All entries must be received by midnight the day before the opening day in your region.

Opening Dates:  General Texas counties: November 6, 2010.  South Texas counties: November 6, 2010.  Check your 2010-2011 Texas Hunting Guide for the opening date in your county.

Payment:  Cash, Check or Money Order made be payable to Buccaneer Food Store, 1309 Prairie Lea, Brenham Texas 77833.
